Join a group session of Forest Therapy with Rachael at Beacon Fell, Wednesdays at 6pm.
Also known as Forest Bathing or Nature Immersion, this is a gentle, evidence-based practice that supports your wellbeing through deep connection with nature.
As a fully qualified and insured Forest Therapy Practitioner, I guide you through a gentle sequence of invitations to help quiet the mind, balance the nervous systems, and reconnect with your senses. Together, we will create room for rest, reflection, and reconnection — with the land, with your inner self, and with each other.
You don’t need to be fit, forest-savvy, or spiritual — just willing to go slow.🌿

FAQ'S
What's the difference between this and Forest Bathing?
It's the same experience with a different name. In fact it has many names. Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing, Nature Immersion and Forest Therapy.
Does Forest Bathing mean being naked in the forest?
No, a common question though, I wondered the same the first time I heard of it! It's about bathing your senses in the forest, rather than your body.
How long does the session last?
It's around 2.5 hours in total. If you are on a timeframe, please let me know, and I'll ensure our session runs on schedule, but it's also lovely to not feel you have anywhere else you HAVE to be, to fully relax in the moment
What is Forest Therapy good for?
Forest Therapy has a very long list of incredible benefits it can bring to our lives. From balancing our nervous systems, reducing blood pressure, improving anxiety, adhd symptoms and depression. For a deeper understanding of the benefits, head to my Forest Therapy Page
Is this suitable for children?
In order for you to be fully immersed in the forest these sessions it's best without distractions of needing to take care of another . For that reason, this session is for adults only. I am planning on sessions for parent and child, so please get in touch if that's of interest.
Can I bring my dog?
I love dogs, but these sessions need to remain pet-free to allow us to focus on ourselves fully. Please leave your pet at home in a safe environment.
Are you a therapist?
No. I'm your guide, to help you connect with the forest and allow it to be your therapist. Nature offers such incredible variety and opportunities to discover ourselves whilst we are discovering it. As your guide I will be offering you a series of invitations to allow you to connect with the forest.
Are you qualified and insured?
I am yes. I am a qualified Forest Therapy Practitioner and completed my course with Light Box in Bristol. It is a CMA Accredited course.
I've also undertaken an outdoor first aid course, and yes am fully insured to take you out into the forest for sessions.
What should I wear?
As we'll be outside for the entirety of our session, dress according to the weather and for being in the forest for a few hours. Sensible footwear, warm clothing, possibly waterproof layers. Even on hot days, it can be cool within the canopy of the forest, so be sure to bring warm clothes.
What if it rains?
If it rains, the session will still go ahead, please just dress appropriately. Unless there are storms or high winds, the session will go ahead whatever the weather. We'll mostly be under the canopy and protection of the trees, which will hold off most of the rain.
